Playcafe

Having been in Playcafe since the summer of 2025, we have met lots of amazing families and children. Getting to know them and building trust and relationships with them has been a blessing. We have Wendy sharing a Bible story each week and Simon, our puppet man, comes along every few months to share with the children too. They absolutely love having Simon in! Seeing the children bond with each other as well as their peers has been so beautiful.
We have had a couple of our kids move up to youth in this time as well and it has been so encouraging to see them grow in their faith and move towards the next steps on their faith journey.
We began a bible memory verse in kids church and books of the Bible where the kids would learn the books of the Bible in order as well as learning a memory verse each week. It is amazing to see their memory and love for the Lord grow.

Playcafe Christmas Party

Our first experience of the playcafe Christmas Party was so fun! We opened our doors to 22 children, who came alon with their parents and carers. There was lots of laughter and joy as Claire came and shared a Christmas story and sang songs with all the children. Father Christmas also visited and sat with each child and gave them all a gift. It was a really lovely day strengthening our relationships with both the children and their parents and carers.

Kids Church

Kids church has been very rewarding! We have started using out own resources which has been going really well for both kids and volunteers. It has been so good to use so many different learning and play styles.

Nativity

Our first nativity was such a blessing! All the children involved worked SO hard to learn their lines. Even last-minute call ups due to illness etc worked so well. The children absolutely loved the script because it was funny which really helped keep their concentration during rehearsals. They done an amazing job bringing the Christmas story to life with a modern twist and even got lots of giggles from the audience!

Children’s ministry has been a joy and amazing to see the children and volunteers grow!
